Manchester Ink Link
Manchester, New Hampshire
Carol Robidoux

Manchester Ink Link was launched in 2014 by veteran New Hampshire journalist Carol Robidoux. Topics include police and fire news, community, events and local government. Revenue: Advertising.

Introduction by publisher

Site was launched after layoff from Patch. I saw a need in my city for more in-depth coverage due to staff reductions by the statewide paper. We have a serious heroin problem here and are an immigrant resettlement community, with unique needs and story lines. I am trying to provide coverage of the stories that matter to this community.

Effective engagement practice

I push stories out via 3 Facebook pages with combined followers of 35,000.

Business challenge

I am a sole proprietor, and have not hired anyone to sell ads for me, so I divide my time and probably am missing opportunities to grow my revenue.
