Morristown Green was originally launched in 2007 by the Newark Star-Ledger as an online experiment. It was relaunched in 2010 as an independent site by journalist Kevin Coughlin after he left the Star-Ledger. The site covers community news, events and business. Bonus points: Coughlin has received numerous community awards. Revenue: Grants, advertising.
The Morristown Green was a gathering place long before George Washington arrived here. We continue that tradition-- online, as THE place to come for local news and shared opinions, and in real space, at community events we organize.
